Here's What's Happening in the Life of the Church
Mission of the Month: December / Heifer International
Donations for this mission are being collected in December, please write Heifer Project in the memo line of your checks. This is a global nonprofit that helps to eradicate poverty and hunger through distribution of animals, agricultural training, sanitation and access to clean water. The Missions Team thanks you for your consideration of this mission.
Recent Staff Realignment Update
For more than a year, the full leadership team has been doing great work in refining our mission and vision as a church. The SPR/Admin Team is responsible for ensuring we have the right staff resources aligned to work toward that goal. One of the main ideas that has come from this is to have a strong emphasis and dedicated resource leading and intentionally creating programming and oversight for Children, Youth, and Family ministry opportunities. With the announcement of Ms. Pat’s retirement at the end of 2019, the SPR/Admin Team had the need to evaluate our staffing. As a part of this evaluation, a restructuring was determined to be necessary and it was shared that Robert Weatherall would be leaving us as well. We love Robert and want to thank him for his years of ministry with our church. His character and faithfulness to serve youth have been a blessing to this congregation and many of you personally. We were grateful for the opportunity to celebrate his ministry recently and to provide support for him as he makes preparations for his next step. Without a doubt, this new NextGen Ministries Leader will need prayers, encouragement, and strong volunteer support in order to serve these diverse but related ministry areas. If you know of a terrific candidate, here is a link to the job posting for this new role. We would also ask for prayers and support for the current children, youth, staff, SPR/Admin Team, and the entire Leadership Team as we strive toward this vision and navigate the transition over the coming months.
