Congregational Care Ministry

Provides spiritual, emotional, relational and practical support to congregational members in need.

JESUS SAID:

“Let me give you a new command: Love one another.

In the same way I loved you, you love one another.

This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples –

When they see the love you have for each other.”

John 13:34-35 The Message


CARE COMPANIONS -Would you like to be matched with 1-2 individuals? Being a Care Companion to those sick or going through an illness, live alone, or offer respite for a care giver, being a friend to the lonely within our congregation who no longer connect with Church without help are the folks we minister too. Providing Christian love, concern, prayer and support for families and individuals at various stages, places and circumstances of life and to engage the congregation in service and community for one another. 


WEEKEND HOSPITAL VISITATIONS . This ministry involves teams of dedicated volunteers who can call on those in the local hospital's. They work on a rotation basis each Friday and Saturday and can fill in for the Pastor when he is out of town.


HOMEBOUND & NURSING HOME MINISTRY This ministry involves teams dedicated to be our hands and feet in caring for people unable to get out of their homes. This can include visiting, taking communion and possible a casserole. They work closely with the office and pastoral staff.


TAKING PEOPLE TO DOCTOR APPOINTMENTS


PHONE CALLING - Making encouraging phone calls to members weekly.


GRIEFSHARE SUPPORT FACILITATORS This is a support group that meets for 13 sessions. It is a warm, caring environment for those who are on their journey through grief.
