MIXED

Precepts Bible New Bible study…”The Study of Covenant” Sept 8 through Dec. 15, presented by Karen McCleskey. Covenant is like the missing piece of the jigsaw puzzle that completes the picture of our so-great-a-salvation.

See this incredible thread running from Genesis through Revelation. God enters into a binding agreement with His people and always keeps His promises. Trusting Him as a covenant partner frees us from the bondage of worry and anxiety. This study will transform the way you read the Scriptures!

There are 2 options for studying Covenant.

 1. In & Out - this has 1-3 hours of homework. Taking it in and living it out. This has less cross references to look up and has more application questions. You will get some of the truths from the group discussion rather than finding them for yourself in your study.

 2. Precept Upon Precept - this has 5 hours of homework. More in depth study. You will see the truths for yourself.

The 2 options work together so everyone does not have to do the same option.

We meet starting Sept 8th at 1 pm. We have an hour-long discussion of our homework and then have an optional CD by Wayne Barber who gives us historical and cultural background to better understand the subject that is approximately 1 hour.

The In & Out book is $25 and the Precept Upon Precept is $27. I can send you the first lesson with both options to see if this is something you would be interested in taking. If you want to sign up for the class, you need to email me by this Wednesday August 27th at karengmccleskey@gmail.com so I can order you a book.

MEN'S GROUPS & STUDIES

Men's Apologetic's Bible study is taking the summer months off and will resume in November.

Thursday morning Men's Bible study, Room S#3, bldg D. Door opens around 8:30 am, study begins at 9 am and ends at 10. Each week this summer we will look at one or more of the parables of Jesus. We will also allow time for group prayer. Parables are symbolic stories that Jesus used to make larger lessons about the kingdom of God.

‘Act Like Men’ Bible study and Breakfast... usually meets the first Saturday of each month in bldg A. It runs from 8:30-10 AM. As Proverbs 27:17 says "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." Come fellowship with other men. We have started a breakfast potluck "tradition" where each person brings something to share. Could be a casserole, bacon, pancakes, hash browns, fresh fruit, coffee, What would you like to bring? Come with Bibles ready. Hope to see you there!!
